Deepfakes have graduated from party tricks to genuine threats. 0G Labs is betting that blockchain-anchored verification is the antidote, unveiling Veyra, a tool that analyzes videos frame by frame to determine whether they’re real, AI-generated, or potentially harmful, then commits the proof to an immutable on-chain record.
The product sits on top of 0G’s full technology stack: 0G Compute handles the AI analysis, 0G Storage houses the video files and evidence reports, and 0G Chain anchors the cryptographic proof hashes. The result is a verification pipeline where every step can be independently audited, rather than relying on a single company’s word that a video is (or isn’t) authentic.
How Veyra actually works
At its core, Veyra performs frame-level AI analysis. Instead of looking at a video as a single blob of data, the tool examines individual frames to detect the telltale artifacts of AI generation, subtle inconsistencies in lighting, texture, or motion that the human eye typically misses but that machine learning models can flag with increasing accuracy.
Once the analysis is complete, Veyra classifies the content along two axes: authenticity (real versus AI-generated) and safety (flagging potentially harmful material). The classification results are bundled into an evidence report, which is stored on 0G Storage, the decentralized storage layer of the 0G ecosystem.
The final and arguably most important step is the commitment of a proof hash to 0G Chain. That hash acts like a tamper-evident seal on the evidence report. Anyone can check it. No one can alter it after the fact. This directly addresses what the project calls the “verifier trust problem,” the uncomfortable reality that most AI content-detection tools today ask you to trust their output without offering any way to verify the process that produced it.
Who built it and who’s backing it
Veyra was developed by PlayArts, a company operating under Holo Studio. PlayArts is supported by NVIDIA Inception, NVIDIA’s program for cutting-edge AI startups, and Google Cloud for Startups.
PlayArts positions Veyra as part of a broader suite of AI-driven video tools, suggesting the company views video authenticity verification as one application within a larger product roadmap rather than a standalone bet.
On the infrastructure side, 0G Labs launched its mainnet, dubbed Aristotle, in late September 2025. The chain uses a sharded execution model designed for high throughput, a characteristic that matters significantly for AI-focused workloads, which tend to be computationally heavy and data-intensive.
0G Labs amplified the Veyra integration announcement on August 28, framing it as a showcase for the verifiable AI workloads that its technology stack enables.
