FC Barcelona has entered the race for Eli Junior Kroupi, the 19-year-old Bournemouth striker whose debut Premier League season has turned him into the most coveted young forward in European football. The Catalan club joins a growing queue that includes Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, PSG, and Bayern Munich.
Bournemouth values Kroupi at a minimum of €70M, though some reports place his price tag closer to €90M or even €100M. Bournemouth doesn’t actually want to sell him at any price.
A record-breaking teenager draws a crowd
Kroupi’s 2025-26 season has been remarkable. The France U21 international set a Premier League record for the most goals scored by a teenager in a debut season.
Barcelona’s interest, which surfaced in early May, adds another layer of prestige to what has become a full-blown transfer saga. Manchester United and Liverpool have both been monitoring the situation closely, while Bayern Munich represents a potential Bundesliga route. PSG lurks as the obvious homeland option for the French international. Arsenal and Manchester City round out the list of interested clubs.
Bournemouth’s stance: not for sale, and they mean it
Bournemouth’s CEO has been unambiguous about the club’s position. Kroupi is not for sale this summer, full stop. That includes offers reaching €100M.
The €70M minimum valuation is itself a statement. By anchoring the conversation at that number, with whispers of €90M to €100M circulating, Bournemouth is effectively pricing out all but the wealthiest clubs on the planet.
No agreements have been reached as of June 2026, and Bournemouth’s public refusal to engage with offers suggests this saga could extend deep into the summer window.
