BNB Chain now counts 79.3 million stablecoin holders, surpassing Tron and claiming the top spot among all blockchain networks. Across every chain combined, stablecoins have reached 289 million on-chain holders.
The numbers behind the flip
BNB Chain has accumulated over 190 million cumulative stablecoin user addresses out of roughly 192 million total addresses that have ever interacted with stablecoins on the chain.
In terms of transaction count share, BNB Chain processes somewhere between 24% and 40% of global stablecoin transactions by volume of transfers.
Tron still commands a USDT supply between $75 billion and $81 billion, and its daily stablecoin transfer volumes frequently blow past $20 billion. During peak periods, Tron sees over 1 million active USDT addresses in a single day.
Why BNB Chain is winning the wallet race
BNB Chain has consistently offered some of the lowest fees in the industry, making it practical for small-value transfers and everyday retail usage. BNB Chain sits at the center of the world’s largest crypto exchange by trading volume, which creates a natural funnel of users who already have Binance accounts. BNB Chain has also captured a significant share of on-chain trading volume, and where DEX trading goes, stablecoin usage follows.
Tron’s enduring advantage
Tron carved out its niche in emerging markets, where stablecoins function less as trading instruments and more as actual money. Founded by Justin Sun, Tron established its prominence through low fees and high throughput tailored for USDT (TRC-20), cementing its role as a primary network for facilitating substantial daily transactions, particularly in regions with restricted banking access.
What this means for investors
The 289 million total stablecoin holder figure represents real adoption of blockchain technology for holding and transferring dollars without a traditional bank.
The risk for BNB Chain is concentration. Its deep ties to Binance are a distribution superpower, but they also create a single point of regulatory vulnerability. If Binance faces restrictions in key markets, the pipeline of new BNB Chain users could slow considerably.
