Chelsea FC is fielding loan inquiries from at least three Premier League clubs and three overseas sides for its players this summer. Among those ecosystems: crypto exchange BingX, Chelsea’s Official Principal Partner.
The interest reportedly includes Coventry City, now managed by former Chelsea legend Frank Lampard, alongside clubs from Italy and elsewhere in Europe.
The loan carousel
The identity of the player drawing the most attention hasn’t been officially confirmed, though Mykhailo Mudryk is heavily speculated to be at the center of the interest from Premier League sides.
Meanwhile, striker Marc Guiu has reportedly attracted attention from Coventry City, Sunderland, and several Spanish clubs including Sevilla. Chelsea is said to be open to either loaning or selling Guiu outright this summer.
At least three Italian clubs are also circling.
Where crypto meets the beautiful game
The club’s partnership with BingX, the crypto exchange, was extended in April 2026 and has been running since the 2023/24 season.
No tokens or blockchain projects are directly tied to these player movements. Nobody is minting an NFT of Mudryk’s loan agreement.
The sports sponsorship pipeline for crypto firms has seen significant turbulence since the 2022 bear market. FTX’s collapse left a crater in the Miami Heat’s arena naming rights. Crypto.com’s deals with Formula 1 and the UFC have faced scrutiny. Against that backdrop, BingX doubling down on Chelsea is a data point worth noting.
What this means for the crypto-sports nexus
The fan token market, dominated by platforms like Socios, has seen mixed results. Tokens tied to clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona have generally declined from their launch highs.
Chelsea and BingX appear to be running straightforward sponsorship without tokenized gimmicks: brand exposure in exchange for cash, with no governance rights, staking rewards, or utility beyond the logo on the kit.
