Circle heads to Sibos 2026 in Miami to pitch stablecoin infrastructure to global banking leaders

Circle is taking its stablecoin pitch to the biggest stage in global banking. The USDC issuer confirmed it will attend Sibos 2026, the annual SWIFT-organized conference running September 28 through October 1 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, where it plans to engage financial institutions on integrating regulated stablecoin infrastructure into their operations.

The timing is not accidental. Circle launched its Arc Layer-1 blockchain mainnet on September 16, just days before the conference kicks off, giving the company a fresh piece of institutional-grade infrastructure to showcase to an audience of over 10,000 attendees from more than 160 countries.

What Circle is bringing to the table

This year’s theme, “Digital finance for AI-driven economies,” signals that the conversation has moved well past whether blockchain has a role in traditional finance. Circle’s agenda involves several pillars: cross-border payments, treasury management, tokenization, and AI-integrated financial workflows.

The Arc mainnet features sub-second finality and uses USDC as its native gas and settlement currency, designed specifically for institutional applications. Its validator set includes BlackRock, Visa, and Mastercard as institutional validators.

USDC circulation currently sits at approximately $73 to $74 billion as of mid-September 2026, spread across multiple blockchain networks and backed by Circle’s expanding roster of global licenses and regulatory approvals.

Circle’s regulatory positioning

Circle holds a New York trust charter and has gained approval as a national trust bank from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The conference’s Miami location marks the first time Sibos has been hosted in the city.
