Coinbase has flipped the switch on full trading for the Cluster Protocol (CP) token, making the CP-USD pair live on both Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Advanced. The listing supports limit, market, and stop orders, giving traders the complete toolkit after a brief phased rollout that began just days earlier.
CP was trading around $0.038 at the time of activation, a price point that puts it squarely in micro-cap territory.
From deposit addresses to full trading in 48 hours
Coinbase first announced support for Cluster Protocol on September 1, 2026, opening up deposit address generation so users could move tokens onto the platform ahead of live trading.
The next day, September 2, the exchange placed CP-USD into auction mode. During this phase, traders could submit limit orders while seeing an estimated opening price for at least 10 minutes before any orders were actually matched. All orders then executed at a single clearing price, a mechanism designed to prevent the wild price swings that often accompany new listings.
Now, with full trading enabled, market orders, limit orders, and stop orders are all available, meaning traders can execute with the same flexibility they’d have on any other established pair on the platform.
This phased approach mirrors what Coinbase did earlier in 2026 with the CAP-USD pair: announce support, open deposits, run an auction, then go live.
Where CP stands in the broader market
Cluster Protocol already trades on OKX, KuCoin, Gate.io, and Bitget, with 24-hour trading volumes in the tens to hundreds of millions of tokens across those platforms. OKX alone has seen approximately $162 million in daily CP trading volume during recent sessions.
The Coinbase listing adds a regulated US-based trading venue and a direct USD trading pair, rather than requiring traders to route through stablecoins or other intermediary assets.
