Filip Kostić, the 33-year-old Serbian winger, is reportedly set to undergo a medical on Wednesday ahead of finalizing a move to PSV Eindhoven on a deal running through June 2028. The free agent departure from Juventus marks a return to Dutch football for a player who once plied his trade at FC Groningen.
The deal and its context
Kostić became available after Juventus opted not to renew his contract, which expired on June 30, 2026. PSV moved quickly once Kostić hit the open market. Reports from Dutch media began surfacing in late July 2026, and by early August the club had accelerated toward a medical examination and contract finalization.
AEK Athens reportedly tabled a two-year offer, creating a competitive dynamic that forced PSV to act decisively.
The contract length itself is notable. A deal through June 2028 gives Kostić, who turns 34 in November, nearly two full seasons at the Philips Stadion.
