Jude Bellingham earned his 50th senior cap for England against Ghana on June 23, 2026, becoming the youngest player in English football history to reach that landmark.

He was 22 years and 359 days old. Bellingham made his senior England debut in November 2020 at age 17, which means he has spent roughly a quarter of his life as an international footballer.

He enters the Ghana fixture with 49 caps and 7 goals. England manager Thomas Tuchel has described Bellingham as showing “full potential” as the 2026 World Cup group stage progresses.

The Ghana match represents Bellingham’s fourth major tournament appearance for England. He was at Euro 2020 as a teenager, the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Euro 2024, and now the 2026 World Cup in North America.

Bukayo Saka reached his own 50th cap for England recently. Bellingham hitting the same mark at a younger age, in a World Cup context, adds another dimension to what is shaping up as a generational core for the Three Lions.
