Manchester United is closing in on one of English football’s most coveted teenage talents. The club has submitted a bid for Leicester City midfielder Louis Page, and crucially, the player himself wants the move.
Arsenal and Aston Villa are also in the picture, but United currently leads the race, with Page reportedly keen on Old Trafford as his next destination.
Who is Louis Page?
Page was born on July 10, 2008, which means he is 18 years old and already has senior football on his resume.
He has made 21 first-team appearances for Leicester City, including minutes during their recent Championship relegation campaign and Carabao Cup fixtures.
He turned professional in September 2025, signing a contract with Leicester that runs through June 2029. Both Manchester United and Arsenal submitted bids for Page in 2025, and Leicester rejected both.
Leicester’s slide has not stopped at the Championship. The club is now in League One, English football’s third tier.
His current market value is estimated at around €4 million.

Leicester’s position and what comes next
Page has a contract through June 2029, so Leicester retains full control of the transfer. The presence of multiple Premier League bids means Leicester can negotiate from a position that generates real value.
A fee in the region of his estimated €4 million market value would represent meaningful income for a club navigating League One finances, though Leicester may push for more given the competitive bidding environment and the player’s age profile.
United’s pursuit has been running since at least 2025, when a previous bid was rejected.
