NEAR Intents surpasses $20B in all-time transaction volume

NEAR Protocol’s cross-chain execution layer, NEAR Intents, has crossed the $20B mark in cumulative transaction volume.

The milestone, announced on June 3, caps a growth trajectory that saw the platform hit $19B in volume by late May 2026. In other words, NEAR Intents added roughly a billion dollars in volume in the span of a few weeks.

The numbers behind the milestone

NEAR Intents hit $5B in cumulative volume back in November 2025. By January 2026, it had doubled that to $10B. Now, barely five months later, it’s doubled again.

The platform has processed over 25 million swaps to date, integrating with anywhere from 25 to more than 70 chains and assets. Recent monthly volumes have frequently exceeded $2B to $3.6B.

Cumulative fees have reached approximately $32M. Roughly $32M in fees on $20B in volume translates to approximately 0.16% in take rate.

What NEAR Intents actually does, and why it matters

Instead of a user specifying every step of a transaction, they simply declare what they want to accomplish. The system figures out the optimal path.

Key integrations include Solana, TRON (particularly useful for stablecoin transfers), and Zcash for privacy-focused transactions.

In March 2026, NEAR launched Confidential Intents, enabling private execution of transactions.

Growth trajectory and token performance

Going from $5B in November 2025 to $10B in January 2026 was impressive. Doing another $10B in roughly four months suggests the growth curve is steepening, not flattening.

Historical data shows that prior spikes in NEAR Intents volume have correlated with NEAR token price rallies of 15% to 28%. These moves have often coincided with ecosystem upgrades or major integration announcements.

What this means for investors

With TRON integration handling a significant portion of stablecoin transfers, NEAR Intents has positioned itself as infrastructure for the fastest-growing segment of the crypto economy.

The fee economics also deserve scrutiny. Roughly $32M in fees on $20B in volume translates to approximately 0.16% in take rate.
