Two Premier League clubs are locked in a bidding war for Brazilian right-back Dodo, with Newcastle United reportedly leading the race to pry the 27-year-old away from Fiorentina for a fee between €15 million and €16 million.

The transfer details

Dodo has one year remaining on his Fiorentina contract, set to expire in June 2027.

Newcastle is reportedly positioned as the frontrunner, though Nottingham Forest entered the picture first, with their interest surfacing around July 13. Napoli has also been linked to the player, along with prior connections to Inter, Roma, and FC Como.

The defender joined Fiorentina in July 2022 and has racked up more than 110 appearances for the Viola.

Dodo has reportedly expressed a desire to move this summer.
