NSR Valorant defeats Global Esports 2-1 to reach VCT Pacific Grand Finals

NS RedForce just booked the biggest match of their VCT Pacific Stage 2 campaign. The Korean roster took down Global Esports 2-1 in the upper bracket final on September 4, securing a spot in the grand finals set for September 6 at Busan’s Sajik Indoor Gymnasium.

How the maps played out

NSR opened the series on Haven with a 13-7 scoreline. Then Global Esports clawed out a 14-12 win on Ascent to force a decisive third map. Abyss was a different story entirely, with NSR closing it out 13-6.

NSR’s 2026 has been ridiculous

NS RedForce has been on an absolute tear this year. They claimed the Valorant Masters title in Santiago earlier in 2026. Then they followed it up with a third-place finish at the Esports World Cup in Paris, pocketing $220,000 in the process. Now they’re one series away from a VCT Pacific Stage 2 championship and a guaranteed spot at Champions in Shanghai.

The top two teams from this playoff bracket earn berths at the Valorant Champions event. The total prize pool for the Stage 2 playoffs sits at $250,000.

Global Esports isn’t done yet

Losing the upper bracket final drops Global Esports to the lower bracket. Their run to this point included a 2-1 victory over DRX and a clean 2-0 sweep of VARREL. They also finished third in VCT 2026 Pacific Stage 1.

What the Busan finals mean for the Pacific scene

The grand finals weekend at Sajik Indoor Gymnasium includes fan activities and merchandise. Champions qualification is the real currency here, with a spot in Shanghai meaning more international exposure and more sponsorship leverage for qualifying organizations.
