Ibrahim Mbaye didn’t even let Manchester United’s players break a sweat before putting Paris Saint-Germain ahead. The 18-year-old forward scored after just two minutes in a pre-season friendly at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden, giving PSG a 1-0 lead that would ultimately stand as the final result.

Born on January 24, 2008, Mbaye is PSG’s youngest contributor to the first team. He came through PSG’s academy system and represents Senegal at international level.

PSG arrived in Sweden as the reigning European champions. Recent transfer speculation has connected Mbaye to Manchester United, though no negotiations are reportedly in active progress.

PSG and Manchester United have met four times in competitive fixtures, all within the UEFA Champions League. Ullevi Stadium, with its 43,000 capacity, provided a neutral venue for the pre-season fixture.
