Sportradar Group AG, the Swiss sports data powerhouse listed on NASDAQ under the ticker SRAD, just widened its partnership with Polymarket to encompass more than 20 sports leagues and competitions globally. The deal brings roughly 300,000 matches per year worth of premium data, live streaming, and integrity services to the blockchain-based prediction market.
What the expanded deal actually covers
The original partnership, established earlier in 2026, already gave Polymarket access to data from major properties like the ATP Tour, MLB, NHL, MLS, and UFC. The expansion layers on significantly more coverage.
Among the additions: exclusive streaming rights for Germany’s Bundesliga and Euroleague Basketball. Official data feeds for Tennis Grand Slams and the Chinese Basketball Association also enter the mix.
Sportradar CEO Carsten Koerl framed prediction markets as a “compelling adjacent growth opportunity” for the company. On Polymarket’s side, Ari Borod noted that the enhanced access to premium data and content will operate at an “unprecedented scale.”
Why Sportradar is going all-in on prediction markets
This isn’t Sportradar’s only prediction market play. In June 2026, the company signed a separate multi-year deal to provide data and integrity services to Kalshi, the US-based prediction market that operates under CFTC regulation.
No financial terms were disclosed for either the Polymarket or Kalshi agreements. Sportradar’s deals in the sports betting space typically involve a combination of fixed fees and variable components tied to usage or revenue sharing.
What this means for Polymarket’s evolution
Sports solve the cadence problem decisively. With 300,000 matches per year flowing through Sportradar’s data feeds, Polymarket gains access to a near-continuous stream of resolvable events.
The addition of live streaming rights for leagues like the Bundesliga transforms Polymarket from a pure prediction platform into something closer to a sports media destination, one where users can watch the game and trade on its outcome simultaneously.
The competitive landscape is heating up
Sportradar’s dual partnerships with Polymarket and Kalshi highlight an emerging competitive dynamic in the prediction market space. Polymarket operates on the Polygon blockchain and has historically existed in a regulatory gray area in the US, primarily serving international users. Kalshi, by contrast, holds a CFTC designation as a regulated exchange.
By supplying data to both platforms, Sportradar is effectively hedging its bets across regulatory frameworks. Sportradar’s data and integrity services could help on the regulatory front, since regulators tend to look more favorably on markets that can demonstrate robust monitoring for fraud and manipulation.
