West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are deep in discussions over the future of Manor Solomon, the 27-year-old Israeli winger who has spent the better part of his Spurs career on loan at other clubs. The talks come during the 2026 summer transfer window, with reports suggesting a 48-to-72-hour timeline for resolution.
While West Ham appears to be the frontrunner for Solomon’s signature, financial disagreements between the parties could slow or derail what otherwise looks like a logical move for all involved.
Solomon’s winding road through European football
Solomon joined Tottenham back in 2023. His most productive stint came at Leeds United during the 2024-25 season, where he made 39 appearances and scored 10 goals. The 2025-26 season saw him loaned out again, splitting time between Villarreal and Fiorentina, with Villarreal recalling him in January 2026.
A fee in the vicinity of £20 million has been floated as the potential transfer amount.
The financial sticking points
Hull City has also expressed interest in Solomon, which gives the player and his representatives some negotiating leverage. Solomon’s agent, Shlomi Ben Ezra, has reportedly made positive comments regarding a potential move to West Ham.
The core issue appears to be price. The £20 million figure that’s been circulating represents the market’s best guess at fair value. Whether West Ham is willing to meet that number, or whether Tottenham would accept something lower to clear Solomon’s wages off the books, remains the central tension.
