Without a Roof defeats LAG 13-7 in debut match as Stewie2K reunites Boston Major trio

The band is back together. Jake “Stewie2K” Yip, Timothy “autimatic” Ta, and Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham, the only North American trio to have ever won a Counter-Strike Major, just reunited under a new banner called Without a Roof. And their debut went about as well as you could script it.

Without a Roof took down LAG 13-7 in their first official match, competing in the BLAST Open Fall 2026 NA Open Qualifier #1. For a team that registered for the event just three days before the match, that’s a pretty clean opening statement.

The roster and what it means

Stewie2K, autimatic, and Skadoodle were the backbone of the Cloud9 squad that won the ELEAGUE Boston Major in January 2018. That tournament remains one of the most iconic moments in North American Counter-Strike history, a region that had spent years watching European and CIS teams hoist every trophy in sight.

Rounding out the Without a Roof lineup for the qualifier, Justin “FaNg” Coakley joined as a trial player. Joshua “steel” Nissan served as a stand-in for the event.

The BLAST Open qualifier and what’s at stake

The BLAST Open Fall 2026 NA Open Qualifier #1 is an entry-level tournament in BLAST’s ecosystem, designed to give unsigned and emerging rosters a path into higher-tier competition. A 13-7 scoreline against LAG is respectable without being dominant. In CS2’s MR12 format (first to 13 rounds), that translates to winning by a comfortable but not blowout margin. LAG picked up seven rounds, which means they were competitive.
