A European company you’ve probably never heard of just quietly stacked 3,140 Bitcoin in 12 months. Capital B, the Paris-listed firm that rebranded from The Blockchain Group in November 2024, has built what it calls Europe’s first dedicated corporate Bitcoin treasury, accumulating roughly $200 million worth of BTC at an average cost basis of about $104K per coin.
And it’s not even close to done. The company’s stated goal is 15,000 BTC by the end of 2027 and a truly audacious 210,000 BTC by 2033. That last figure would represent 1% of Bitcoin’s entire fixed supply.
The MicroStrategy playbook, European edition
Capital B officially launched its Bitcoin accumulation strategy on November 5, 2024. Since then, the firm has been buying consistently, including a notable 192 BTC purchase in May 2026 and a smaller 1 BTC acquisition on August 3, 2026, for roughly €60,000.
Capital B operates within a regulated European framework, listing on Euronext Paris and recently expanding to Cboe Europe. The company isn’t purely a Bitcoin holding vehicle, though. It maintains legacy operations as a technology consulting firm focused on data intelligence, AI, and decentralized technology.
Who’s backing this
Capital B has attracted some noteworthy names. Adam Back, the CEO of Blockstream and one of the few people actually cited in the Bitcoin whitepaper, is a strategic investor. So is Yves Choueifaty, founder of TOBAM, a French asset management firm that has been one of Europe’s more vocal institutional proponents of Bitcoin exposure.
The company is also undergoing a 10-for-1 reverse stock split effective September 8, 2026.
The 1% ambition
Bitcoin’s maximum supply is capped at 21 million coins. Claiming 1% of total supply would make Capital B one of the largest single holders of Bitcoin on the planet. For reference, Strategy holds well over 200,000 BTC. At current prices, 210,000 BTC would cost north of $20 billion.
The near-term goal of 15,000 BTC by end of 2027 would require roughly quintupling the current stack in about 18 months.
