Crisp joins LGD Gaming for LPL Split 3 as esports roster moves highlight gaming industry’s growing financial stakes

Liu Qingsong, better known as Crisp, is heading to LGD Gaming for the third split of the League of Legends Pro League. The veteran support player, who helped FunPlus Phoenix lift the 2019 World Championship trophy with a clean 3-0 sweep over G2 Esports in Paris, continues to be one of the most sought-after talents in competitive League of Legends.

The transfer and what it means for LGD

Crisp’s signing gives LGD Gaming a player with genuine championship pedigree. Born on August 19, 1998, he spent his formative professional years at FPX from 2018 through 2021, where he became widely recognized for his playmaking ability and shot-calling during team fights.

The 2019 Worlds run remains the crown jewel. FPX entered that tournament as LPL representatives and dismantled G2 Esports in the finals. Crisp’s performance throughout that run cemented his reputation as one of the premier support players in the world.

After leaving FPX, Crisp moved through the upper tier of LPL rosters. His time at TES and WBG kept him in the conversation as a top-flight support, though neither stint produced another world title. Some esports databases still list him with WBG as of 2026, which is typical of the roster churn that defines LPL offseasons and mid-season transfer windows.
