Revolut targets 100M customers by mid-2027 after reaching 75M milestone

1 hour ago 11

Revolut just crossed 75 million retail customers globally, and it’s not slowing down. The fintech giant is now setting its sights on 100 million users by mid-2027, a target that would have sounded absurd for a company that had 50 million customers less than two years ago.

Revolut added 5 million customers in the last three months alone, onboarding roughly 1 million new users every 17 days. At that pace, the 100 million milestone isn’t aspirational. It’s arithmetic.

The numbers behind the momentum

Revolut’s 2025 financial results tell the story of a company that has figured out how to grow fast and make money doing it. Revenue hit $6 billion, a 46% jump year-over-year. Pre-tax profit came in at $2.3 billion.

Customer balances reached $67.5 billion in 2025. The 16 million new retail customers Revolut added throughout 2025 represent the kind of growth rate that traditional banks would need a merger to replicate.

The company’s valuation now sits at $75 billion, making it one of the most valuable private fintech companies on the planet.

Where the growth is coming from

Revolut’s customer base isn’t concentrated in a single market. The UK remains its largest, with 13 million customers, but the company has built significant footholds across Europe. Spain accounts for 6 million users, and France follows with 5 million.

The company currently operates in over 40 countries and has plans to expand into 100 total markets. That kind of geographic ambition requires serious regulatory infrastructure, and Revolut has been steadily accumulating the banking licenses needed to make it happen.

The jump from 50 million to 75 million customers in roughly 18 months suggests Revolut’s growth is accelerating, not plateauing. Part of the explanation lies in the breadth of the product suite. Revolut isn’t just a spending card anymore. The platform spans banking, payments, investing, and business services, essentially bundling what used to require four or five separate financial relationships into a single app.

If Revolut does hit 100 million customers by mid-2027, it will join a very short list of financial platforms that have achieved that kind of global reach. The company that started as a travel money card in 2015 would, at that point, serve more customers than most countries have citizens.
