Strive, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASST) has added another 1,110 Bitcoin to its corporate treasury. The purchase, worth roughly $85.4 million based on recent prices, is the latest in a string of large-scale buys that have vaulted the firm into the top tier of publicly traded Bitcoin holders.
The accumulation playbook
Strive hasn’t been shy about how it funds these purchases. The company raises capital primarily through at-the-market sales of its common stock (ASST) and through its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, which trades under the ticker SATA.
The 1,110 BTC purchase, executed around May 22, was just one piece of a broader buying spree. Strive also acquired roughly 2,500 BTC in a separate transaction later in the period, spending approximately $185.2 million. Another purchase of 759 BTC followed shortly after, adding about $50 million more in Bitcoin exposure.
How Strive got here
A significant chunk of the company’s Bitcoin holdings didn’t come from open-market purchases at all. In January 2026, Strive completed its acquisition of Semler Scientific, a deal that brought approximately 5,048 BTC onto Strive’s balance sheet in one move. Over 90% of the inherited debt was retired shortly after the deal closed.
The company reported cash reserves in the range of $144 million to $155 million, providing a buffer for operations and future purchases.
The corporate Bitcoin treasury trend
Strive’s strategy will inevitably draw comparisons to MicroStrategy, the original corporate Bitcoin maximalist that rewrote the playbook on using public equity markets to accumulate BTC. What’s different about Strive is the preferred stock angle. The SATA instrument gives Strive access to capital from investors who want exposure to a Bitcoin-adjacent yield product without directly buying the common stock.
For investors, Strive offers a way to get Bitcoin exposure through traditional equity markets, complete with SEC filings, quarterly disclosures, and the governance structure of a publicly traded company.
