OKX’s Turkey-focused division added the KAITO token to its local fiat trading roster on August 10, listing a direct KAITO/TRY spot pair that went live at noon local time. Pre-open trading kicked off an hour earlier, at 11:00 AM UTC+3, giving early participants a window to place orders before the full order book opened.
What KAITO actually does
KAITO is the native utility token of Kaito AI’s InfoFi network, a platform that uses artificial intelligence to measure and monetize attention flows across Web3. The token itself serves triple duty: governance rights over the protocol, a medium for transactions within the network, and a ticket into what Kaito calls the “attention economy.” In practical terms, holders can vote on protocol decisions, pay for services, and earn rewards tied to content engagement metrics powered by AI.
KAITO’s circulating supply sits at roughly 241 million tokens, drawn from a total capped supply of 1 billion. That means about 24% of all tokens that will ever exist are currently in the market. At the time of the listing, KAITO was trading in a range between $0.46 and $0.56 against USD equivalents on other platforms. In the TRY market, that translates to approximately 30 to 34 Turkish Lira per token.
Why Turkey keeps showing up in crypto expansion plans
OKX TR began operations in early 2024, specifically designed to cater to Turkish users with fiat on-ramps and off-ramps denominated in TRY. For Turkish investors, having a direct TRY pair eliminates a meaningful friction point. Without one, a trader wanting to buy KAITO would typically need to first purchase USDT with lira, paying a spread, then trade USDT for KAITO, paying another spread. A direct pair collapses that into a single transaction.
The InfoFi angle
The token’s price range of roughly $0.46 to $0.56 puts its fully diluted valuation somewhere in the neighborhood of $460 million to $560 million, based on the 1 billion token cap. Its circulating market cap, using the 241 million token float, lands closer to $111 million to $135 million.
