Printr shuts down, cancels token launch and airdrop by Aug. 31

Printr, the cross-chain token launchpad that promised to make memecoin creation as easy as hitting “print,” is hitting delete instead. The platform announced on August 17 that it will cease all operations by August 31, 2026, canceling its planned token generation event and the airdrop that users had been grinding points toward.

For anyone who spent months accumulating Printr points in anticipation of a token reward: those points are now worthless. The project token that was supposed to materialize simply won’t.

What happened

According to the shutdown announcement, Printr spent the last three months trying to raise additional capital and came up empty. The platform had positioned itself as an “every chain” launchpad, leveraging cross-chain infrastructure from Axelar and LayerZero to let users deploy tokens across multiple blockchains simultaneously. It offered features like customizable fee structures and a novel “Proof of Belief” staking mechanism designed to reward early supporters.

Printr raised $4.5M across two rounds: a $2.5M pre-seed in January 2025 and a $2M extension in October 2025. Backers included Bybit Venture Studio, Mantle EcoFund, and Sfermion.

The wind-down process is already underway. Automatic unstaking of user positions began on August 18, one day after the announcement. Staking has been paused, and the platform’s app interface will go dark after August 31. Discord support will remain available through the end of the month for users who need help withdrawing their assets.

Tokens that were previously launched through Printr will continue to exist as independent on-chain assets on their respective blockchains. But the Printr interface for trading and managing those tokens won’t be accessible anymore, meaning holders will need to interact with them through other DEXs or directly on-chain.

What this means for users

The most immediate impact falls on the point farmers. When a project cancels its TGE entirely, those hours of engagement become sunk cost with zero return.

Users with assets still on Printr have until August 31 to ensure everything is withdrawn. After that, the interface goes away, and any stragglers will be left navigating block explorers to recover funds.
